Wow, these are delicious! Soft, sweet, and perfect for sandwiches. Your only regrets with making these is that you did not double the batch!
Ingredients
100 grams sourdough starter
240 grams pineapple juice from 1 can of pineapple (or buy pineapple juice)
440 grams bread flour
60 grams kefir or milk
34 grams granulated sugar or honey
2 Tablespoons of butter
8 grams salt
1 egg for egg wash
- Mix melted butter, sugar, pineapple juice, kefir or milk, and starter together.
- Add flour and salt and mix.
- Cover and allow to rest for one hour.
- Kneed dough using folding method, let rest overnight or until rise is double in size.
- Prepare your baking dish, I used a 9″ square dish. Split dough into 9 pieces and use folding method on each piece to shape into a ball. Place seam side down into baking dish. Do this for all pieces, cover and let rest for one to four hours or until dough has risen.
- Preheat oven to 375°F, brush your rolls with a beaten egg and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
