I was lucky enough to learned the importance of a good skincare routine before I started showing signs of aging. You will reap the most benefits the younger you start, but it is never too late to give your skin the love it deserves! In this blog I share with you my daily skincare routine and what products and devices work best for me.
For context, I am 30 years old, and people often tell me I have great skin and want to know my routine.

The Routine
I start my day by generously applying sunscreen to my face and body before I take my dog out for her morning run/walk. Face sunscreen is my bane, just when I think I find one I like they seem to switch up the formula or I can’t find it anymore. Recently I’ve been using the Trader Joes Daily Facial Sunscreen gel formula. I find this to be lightweight and does not cause my skin to break out (which most sunscreens do.) Mineral sunscreens are supposed to be the best, but they never seem to work well for me.

After my run, I shower and use Burt’s Bees Deep Cleaning Cream to wash my face while in the shower. After trying many different face washes, this is the product that has always worked well for me.

Once out of the shower, I dry off, lotion my body, and use my LED face mask on the purple color light mode (blue and red light) for 15 minutes.
I have the Regina Light LED Mask as I like that it is cordless, and after much research it seemed the best bang for the buck. Now for the question of does this work? I have no idea, but research says it does and I like to think that with consistent use it will help keep my skin youthful. As an added bonus my boyfriend gets a huge kick out of me wearing this, telling me I look like Jason from Friday the 13th.
After light therapy, I apply the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner and the URANG Brightening Blue Oil Serum. These are new product in my arsenal and I absolutely love how the toner feels moisturizing, and the serum makes my skin feel silky, which helps with the next step in my routine! The serum is pretty expensive from Amazon, I was able to get it from Costco Next, which ran a promotion from Most Inc. for a short period of time. I’ll be keeping my eye out for it to pop back up for a less expensive refill!

After applying the serum to my face and neck, I use the NuFACE Trinity face toning device for about five minutes. I really like this device, it gives my neck and face a nice massage, and I noticed results in my cheeks and jawline looking more toned. I purchased this device from Nordstrom Rack for $120. While I am very happy with my device, it does not have the removable head so I am unable to try out the other attachments. If you are planning to be more invested in this device I recommend the one where you can swap out for other attachments (linked below.)

Now I move on to my favorite device, the SolaWave 4-in-1 Facial Wand. If you had to get one device, this would be the biggest bang for your buck. I got it for $100 on Amazon, which was the best price I could find when shopping around. It has red light, micro-current, warming, and facial massage. This device feels so nice on my skin and I like to think that it helps with hyperpigmentation (nothing I can prove.) I use this device for 5-10 minutes on both my face and neck.

I now apply a Vitamin C serum, and if I plan to go outside, the face sunscreen again.
Later in the day, I like to apply a Hyaluronic Acid serum. Before going to bed I use a cleanser and apply retinol. I am also currently trying out Frownies for my forehead wrinkles but am not seeing long term results. I’ll keep you posted on if this changes and they are worth using.
Here are the Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Cleanser, and Retinol that I prefer. These have clean ingredients (no chemical known to cause issues!), and I prefer a higher percentage Vitamin C serum which can be hard to find.
For a shorter routine, I recommend using at least the Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, and Retinol daily.
