These are the absolute easiest dog treats to make, and your dog will most likely love them! Great for training treats and packing a good protein punch, you’ll never want to buy treats again! The silicone baking mat used to make these treats is also my newest favorite kitchen gadget. We go through tons of treats on leash training and these are easy to bring, my dog likes them, they are high protein, and last a long time!
When using liver make sure to check how much your dog can have a day. It is possible to overdose your dog on liver.
Supplies
Treat Mold or sheet pan
Blender
Ingredients
2lbs meat of choice – I use liver or cans of Kirkland Chunk Chicken Breast, juice and all. Other great options are canned salmon or tuna (watch sodium content and oil, opt for low sodium and in water not oil), chicken breast, turkey, etc.
2 large eggs
1.5 cup besan flour or oatmeal
1/2 cup water – more or less as needed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add water or more flour as needed to achieve a pancake batter like consistency.
- Place mold, silicon mat, or parchment paper onto a baking sheet, pour 1/4th of batter onto sheet and spread until it fills the mold or evenly coats the sheet. The thicker the layer the longer it will need to bake. Make sure the center is not thicker than the edges.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool 10 minutes or so until popping treats out of mold or cutting treats with a pizza cutter and repeat baking process until batter is gone.
- Store some treats in fridge for 5 days and freeze the rest in glass jar or freezer bag for later use.
