This sauce is addicting. I especially like to use this when making noodles, tofu, or for dipping. A key ingredient is the Red hot chili sauce, there are lots of brands out there but I will include a link to my favorite.
Ingredients:
1T Oyster sauce
1T Soy sauce
2T Red hot chili sauce
1tsp Honey or Coconut Sugar (or white sugar)
1tsp Sesame oil
This is an easy sauce to make, just mix the above ingredients together and voila! I am not one to actually measure ingredients, but the above gives a rough guide for one serving. Increase portions as needed and feel to to make it sweeter, spicier, or adjust to your preferences!
This goes fantastically with noodles. I’ll make udon, or any sort of noodle (I love Costco’s brown rice ramen noodle!), mix in some scrambled eggs, steamed veggies, maybe some shrimp or meat, add this sauce, then give it all a good stir and this makes a quick and super satisfying meal. I also like to mix this with air-fried or soft tofu and eat over rice.
Here is my favorite chili sauce. I purchase this from the Weee! app (asian grocery delivery) since I cannot find it elsewhere:
Here is a referral link to Weee!. You’ll need to check if they deliver in your area. I shop on Weee! regularly for fruits, vegetables, frozen seafood (the New Zealand mussels!!!), noodles, and more!
Here is a link to a similar chili sauce on Amazon if you do not have access to grocery delivery or an asian market near you:
